Dear Friends,

We pray daily for the light of wisdom and in our prayer we discerned that it is expedient that we invest in solar energy for sake of the future of our monastery. We will be 100 years old on October 24, 2025.

God gave man the wisdom and intelligence to discover ways to capture the light He created and gave us for our benefit.  Without light there is no possibility of life on earth.  We need to thank Him for all His gifts and we need to use them well and intelligently.

After much research and prayer, we have chosen a system and contractor which will give us the greatest returns: nominal electric bills for the future! 

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Little Singers of Lyon | Maîtrise des Chartreux performed a wonderful concert at Carmelite Monastery of Our Lady and St. Thérèse. This delightful musical event contributed much-needed fundraising for our solar project.

We ask you in your kindness and generosity, to help us realize this goal for our next 100 years of prayer, for you and yours, here in our beautiful monastery by the sea! 

We pray to the Lord “Let your light shine on us.”
